Artist's Statement
Artist’s Statement
By Justice Marquez
Photography has always been a passion of mine. From
holding the camera to snapping the scene, I enjoy being an amateur
photographer. I love how I can capture a moment in time. It becomes a visual
memory. A picture speaks a thousand words. I can capture a thousand words in a
millisecond. Can you? It’s amazing how my job is actually needed in the world
and I can be happy doing so. Every one enjoys preserving a memory or history. I
can become a person important in photography and turn this hobby into a
career. I do the work I do because I am
the work I do. I am art, therefore, I live within art. An art shall be
captured.
I’ve always admired living in a world where you are
smaller than everything else. I want to live under the hat of a mushroom and
see the sun through the petals of a daisy. I enjoy low angles where the world
is not so much bigger, but I am so much smaller. This is why my photographs are
of things on the ground. I want to be able to look up at a pebble. Living in
the grass is a dangerous life to live; it’s also an interesting one. What’s
better than being able to capture the life you want to live in?
My challenge is the camera being larger than the object I
am trying to capture; or also the fact that the object is shorter than the
height of my feet. I conquer this challenge by lying down, climbing trees, and
chasing animals to get their feet running in the grass. It’s a hard photo style
to achieve, because the small challenges my camera’s life might get, I do not.
I do not have to fear being stepped on, but if I’m lying down I do. You might
find me stuck in a tree one day, because some birds were hatching above my
head. It’s weird, but it ends up to be an amazing photograph.
This is what I try to achieve as a photographer. My view
of the world captured in a fragment of a second. Let me tell you the story of
little people and their view of life.

This artist takes photos of many types of things ranging from cars to animals,
but this album here was my favorite due to the angles and beauty captured in these photographs.
Some pictures are even photoshopped to surrealism.

Liza Hennessey Botkin
This photographer does all her photos in black and white. My favorite selection of them are her album called Moments. In this album, she catches people in almost humorous moments and saves them. With no exact theme, these pictures are rather cute.

Another Lovely Random Photo
This photo is of a fence, across the alley from my house. I wish I had noticed it earlier. Her backyard is a photo I had in the Framing assignment.
The reason I am so interested in this photo is because the fence was ten feet high and covered, I mean coated in vines. I just though it was beautiful, especially the way the sunset was shining it's light on the top of it all. So here's a picture of no angle in particular. Just a pretty natural photo.
Enjoy.
To show you what I mean by coated:

I tried my best.
WHY IS PHOTGRAPHY SO TIME CONSUMING?
That is my only complaint.
Oh, and I was cold.
But here you are.

I APOLOGIZE, but my camera is dead. Today, I am buying batteries for it.
I'm dont with most of everything else, but as soon as my camera lives again, I will have framing photos.

5 Sentences For Framing
http://www.schoolofphotography.com/21-analysing-an-image-framing-an-image/
In this link, you want the photo to have good composition. Sharpness and exposure can make a photo as great as you can get it. Framing a good photo turns it into a great photo, but having a horizon in the center of the frame can lead to a misleading line. Most framed images can be saved with cropping or differed angles. Without frames, most images just look mudane.

Framing an object in a photo can give it depth and layers. Also, a frame give you a feeling of location. A frame can take any form and be anywhere majority of the time. They can also be the foreground or background of an images, but majority of the time are in the foreground. Try finding a frame that matches the shape of the item you're framing.

My Attempt At Rule Of Thirds.
Now, this is a very hard subject (in my opinion) to master. It's taken 3 photography and yearbook classes to finally get some kind of grasp of it. BUTT, nonetheless, it's due soon and i must upload.
I'll order these from "Not that grand." to "Grandest photo ever!".

5 Sentences About 5 Habits
http://www.picturecorrect.com/tips/photography-tips-five-habits-photographers-should-learn/
If you want to have a range of possible great pictures bracketing allows this to happen by taking multiple shots in different exposures. Try keeping up with how your camera is working and take plenty of care of it. "A picture tell a thousand words," is a great way to explain how your photograph could be with a simple snap. You do better with a hands-on experience, so practice more and spend less time editing. Also, practice is key if you want good pictures, even looking into other photographers might help.

The Rule of Thirds, Madam.
The rule of thirds is very basic, but also needs to be seen with your own mind. It's a way to frame an image, but not using the actually frame along the outside. The rule of thirds is dividing a photograph into nine sections, using four perpendicular lines. The crossing points of these lines are where you want your audiences' eyes to be focused on. It's where you have the main points.

EXTRA CREDIT - OVER HERE, MRS. WHEELER.
The art in this link is almost surreal and animalistic. It mixes painting with photography, humans with animals. I enjoy art like this almost as much as I like completely surreal art. Though it in itself is not 100% photography, it is an amazing skill to combine in art. This blog is amazing as well as the artist. Charlotte Caron is a true artist.
